2014 EU budget: agreement reached, including Horizon2020

(ANSAmed) - BRUSSELS, NOVEMBER 12 - The EU Council and Parliament reached a deal on the 2014 budget in the night between Monday and Tuesday following 16 hours of talks - a breakthrough in an institutional impasse also involving the 2013 budget and multiannual 2014-2020 budget.

An event entitled 'Horizon 2020: An introduction' will be held on 12 November 2013 in Cambridge, UK. 

Horizon 2020, the EU's new funding programme for research and innovation will be launched at the end of 2013. With a budget of over EUR 70bn for the seven year period to 2020, it represents a significant source of support for research and innovation. 

This workshop will provide an overview of the new programme: its scope, budget, rules and procedures, as well as identifying the interest groups to watch.
