Fantoni presidente dell'ANVUR

E' Stefano Fantoni il primo presidente dell'Anvur, l'agenzia di valutazione del sistema universitario e della ricerca. A decretarlo e' stato il voto unanime del consiglio direttivo dell' Agenzia che si e' riunito questa mattina dopo essersi insediato solo un giorno fa. Fantoni, e' un fisico e proviene dalla Sissa di Trieste che ha diretto dal 2004 ad oggi. "Sono sicuro - ha detto a margine della cerimonia di investitura - che con questa squadra formidabile e compatta riusciremo ad aiutare il ministero ad attuare pieneamente la riforma". Fantoni guiderà una squadra composta da sette scienziati (Giuseppe Novelli, lo stesso Fantoni, Fiorella Kostoris, Sergio Benedetto, Andrea Bonaccorsi, Massimo Castagnaro, Luisa Ribolzi) chiamati a valutare il sistema universitario e della ricerca in Italia.

Il Gruppo 2003, nel complimentarsi con Fantoni per la nomina e ritenendo strategica l'attività di vaglio delle ricerche da parte dell'ANVUR per avviare finalmente un sistema i grado di premiare i più meritevoli, si appresta a inviare ai sette componenti ANVUR una lista di domande su risorse e metodi della valutazione che saranno chiamati a compiere.

The wildfires in Los Angeles and other extreme events, as well as their media coverage, highlight how immediate causes often overshadow the real issue: climate change, which increases the intensity and frequency of catastrophic phenomena. Tackling this crisis requires urgent action to reduce greenhouse gas emissions using already available technologies and investments to strengthen territorial resilience. Only a combination of mitigation and adaptation can prevent irreversible damage, ensuring a sustainable future for the next generations.

Environment

Even in the face of the vast Los Angeles wildfires—still ongoing—as in other recent circumstances, the media's attention is primarily focused on the most immediate and “proximal” causes: the malfunctioning of the power grid, insufficient water reserves, the unpreparedness of newly hired firefighters, and so on.
